This spring we are featuring the following sites and onsite artisans. 1 - Yosemite Valley Alpacas
Caren and John
Bryant welcome you to Mariposa County’s only working Alpaca Ranch. We have
30 Suri Alpacas with several cria (babies) due in the spring. There will be
alpaca fiber, rovings (ready to spin fiber) and more for display and sale.
Come experience the wonderful world of alpacas and feel the luxury of 100%
alpaca clothing.
Winemakers Harold
and Kris Casto welcome you to taste their Estate Zinfandel, Zinfandel Port
and Cabernet Sauvignon, all grown in Mariposa County. The winery offers a
beautiful setting to enjoy tasting, picnicking, walking through pomegranate
trees and playing bocci ball. Tasting in the barrel room offers a unique and
personal experience.

Hibpshman Native Nursery
Curt and Mindi Hibpshman grow an extensive selection of native trees, shrubs, and ground covers. They also have a large selection of bulk materials. Combine this with their complete line of quality irrigation, drain and erosion control supplies and you have a one-stop shop for gardeners and landscapers alike. Directions: From Mariposa, drive toward Merced on Hwy 140 about 10.5 miles. Turn right on Hornitos Rd. about 0.1 mile. Turn right into driveway. On driveway, go 0.9 mile.
Visit a working blacksmith shop where you can make hoof picks. Decorate gourds and make lavender sachets in the gourd shop. The spring garden will be planted. Don’t miss the gift shop, filled with an array of homemade crafts. A vintage fire engine will entice children and challenge their climbing abilities. Directions: From Mariposa, drive toward Merced on Hwy 140 for about 10.5 miles. Turn right on Hornitos Road for 1.2 miles. Located on the right. 5 - Coyote Springs
Coyote Springs Ranch is a working cattle ranch. Enjoy a wagon ride tour of the ranch and see Angus bulls, draft horses, Indian ponies, cowboys and cowgirls. See a variety of wagons and our famous authentic Coyote Springs stage coach. Hear local folklore and tales from the Old West. Directions: From
Mariposa, take Hwy 140 toward Merced for 11 miles. Turn left on Old Highway.
Turn right in the first driveway.
Visit Martin and
Diane’s lavender farm. They grow five varieties of lavender along with
various other herbs. While you’re here, visit with milk goats or come to the
barn where you can purchase lavender crafts, goat milk soap and herb plants.
Taste wine in an underground cellar with winemaker Doug Chappell and his wife Kathy. Enjoy their Estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache and Syrah on a hillside surrounded by pine and oak forests. Then, wander through the vineyard and enjoy views by a babbling brook. Directions: From Mariposa, drive toward Yosemite on Hwy 140 about 3 miles. Turn left on East Whitlock Road. After 2.5 miles, turn right on Colorado Road. Take the first left up the driveway.
Vintners Marvin
and Karen Silver have owned and operated this winery since 1989. Taste their
premium red wines, handcrafted in the best Bordeaux traditions. A 2.5-acre
pristine vineyard adjoining the winery utilizes organic growing methods.
Witness life at a
winery with vintner Bob Gerken and his wife Darlene. These gracious hosts
will captivate you with their stories of grape production since 1972. The
quality of their Estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
and Zinfandel wines reflects their years of experience. 10 - Wires Ranch
Bill and Marilyn
Wire welcome you to visit their scenic ranch nestled in the foothills of
Mariposa County. This working ranch is home to registered St. Croix hair
sheep. These gentle, playful animals from the Caribbean are moderate sized,
polled, white sheep. Spectacular views and antics by sheep are not to be
missed. 11 - Mariposa Coffee Co.

Daryel Lee Caputo look forward to showing you around this historic location.
The farm features 6 varieties of blueberries, as well as an assortment of
orchard trees. The Coffee Company roasts year-round and the 23-acre property
is beautiful in all seasons. 12. Bryce Farms
A renovated 40
year old vineyard, an apple orchard, extensive vegetable gardens and flower
beds surround this historic house. The home was built over many years and is
constructed around a restored log cabin that was a stage stop bunkhouse on
